What is this Web3 thing?
Web3 is a shift in internet culture.
You know how you can use the internet to find videos, restaurants, and websites..
Well, Web3 is like a new version of the internet that is more fair and open for everyone.
Right now, big companies like Google, Meta and Amazon own a lot of the data on the internet.
This means they can control what you see and do online.
With Web3, the data is spread out more evenly.
One way to think about it is like a big playground. Right now, some kids have all the toys and they get to decide what games to play.
With Web3, the toys are shared more equally, so everyone gets a chance to play what they want.
Another cool thing about Web3 is that it can help people work together in a fair way. There's something called a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).
It’s like a group of people who agree to follow the rules written into a special computer program called a blockchain.
This helps everyone work together without any one person or company having too much control.
So, Web3 is a new way of using the internet that is more fair and open for everyone.
It helps people work together in a fair way and makes sure that no one company has too much power.

5 Things to Do 🕺🏻
1 Manifest long-term thinking
Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.
The Internet gave us “instant gratification”.
Everything we want can be delivered into our hands within 2 hours.
Ronny Chieng makes a (3mins) point here 👇
How Can We Manifest Long-Term Thinking?
We often get caught up in the day-to-day grind and lose sight of the big picture. Short-term thinking can lead to impulsive decisions.
And they aren’t always in our best interest.
You know exactly what I’m talking about, don’t you?
Here are 2 exercises that can help you develop a long-term mindset.
Exercise 1: Future Self Journaling
One of the most effective ways to manifest long-term thinking is through journaling. Specifically, future self journaling.
It involves detailed writing about your future self and the life you want to lead. The idea is to create a vivid image of what you want your life to look like in the long-term.
To get started, find a quiet space where you can focus. Grab a pen and paper, or use your favourite note-taking app.
Start by writing out a detailed description of your ideal life in the future.
Consider what kind of work you want to be doing, where you want to live, and what kind of relationships you want.
Be as specific as possible.
Once you have a clear picture of your future self, write about the steps you need to take to get there.
What skills do you need to develop?
What habits do you need to cultivate?
What obstacles do you need to overcome?
Once, you’ve written down your map, it will stick. You will remember it and will be more likely to make decisions that align with your long-term goals.
Do you crave a pretty notebook for that exercise? 👉 Nuuna.. mhmmm 🥰
Exercise 2: Mindful Decision Making
Take a step back and consider the long-term consequences of your choices.
Practice mindful decision-making by taking a deep breath and focusing on the present moment.
Consider the decision you are about to make. Then ask yourself:
Will this choice bring me closer to my long-term goals?
Which consequences will it have?
I love this exercise and try to do it esp. whenever I’m about to make a bigger investment. I ask myself
Will flying to this conference be fun?
Hell yes, but will it bring me any clients?
Will it help my business in any way?
Is this really a priority to go after right now?
Taking a few moments to reflect on your decision will make you more likely to make choices that align with your long-term goals.
Remember, long-term thinking is not about sacrificing short-term pleasure for future gain.
It is about finding a balance between the present and the future.
Practice making choices that align with your values and aspirations.
2 Watch How the Blockchain is Changing Money and Business
What is the blockchain? If you don't know, you should; if you do, chances are you still need some clarification on how it actually works.
Don Tapscott is here to help. Demystifying this world-changing, trust-building technology which, he says, represents nothing less than the second generation of the internet and holds the potential to transform money, business, government and society.
3 Reflect on Balaji’s $1.000.000 Bitcoin Bet
Balaji Srinivasan, a crypto advocate and former CTO of Coinbase, bet that Bitcoin would reach $1 million in value within 90 days.
He promised to exchange 1 Bitcoin for $1 million after 90 days.
And two people actually accepted the bet.
Balaji wasn’t only predicting the rise of Bitcoin. He predicted the collapse of the US dollar and a banking crisis.
If hyperinflation happens, then Bitcoin reaching $1 million wouldn’t be a big deal because of the immense rise in demand.
Halfway in, he’s raising the white flag. He closed his million-dollar bet out by mutual agreement on May 2nd. And he donated even more than he had committed to: $1.5 M vs. $1M.
He believes “in the public good, but unfortunately we can’t rely on the public sector anymore to tell us when something’s wrong”.
So, Balaji spent his money to send a provably costly signal that something was wrong with the economy.
Do you think there’s something wrong with the economy?
Make up your mind.

4 Practice Prompting
What’s prompting?
It means “to lead someone/something to do something”.
Everyone is talking about ChatGPT and how to increase productivity by prompting.
Why is learning how to use AI and to prompt even more important?
The world is changing.
AI will be everywhere, but not immediately.
And that’s a massive opportunity for whoever can help enterprises implement AI and manage risk.
So, let’s practice.
Here are 5 prompts for you to try out today
1. Use the 80/20 principle to learn faster than ever. 🏃🏻♀️
“I want to learn / get better at [insert topic]. Identify and share the most important 20% of learnings from this topic that will help me understand 80% of it.”
2. Learn and develop any new skill. 👩🏻🎓
“I want to learn / get better at [insert topic]. I am a complete beginner. Create a 30 day learning plan that will help a beginner like me learn annd improve this skill.”
3. Summarize long texts and accelerate your learning. 📝
“Summarize the text below into 500 words or less. Create sections for each important point with a brief summary of that point.”

5 Question The Status Quo
Are you one of those people that love to question the status quo?
Yes. Me, too.
Questioning the status quo is a big part of progress and innovation. Without questioning what’s already in place, we can’t move forward and create something new.
That’s where blockchain technology comes in.
Blockchain tech is a decentralized and distributed ledger used to record transactions. It allows for secure and transparent transactions without the need for a central authority.
And this technology has the potential to revolutionize every industry, incl. finance, healthcare, and energy.
So, what is the connection between questioning the status quo and blockchain technology?
The Problem with Traditional Systems
Traditional systems, like banking, healthcare and energy, have been in place for many years. These systems rely on central authorities to manage and control transactions.
But these systems have flaws that have been exposed over time.
For example, the 2008 financial crisis exposed the flaws in the traditional banking system. It was designed to benefit a few individuals, leading to the collapse of the economy.
Similarly, the healthcare and energy systems have been criticized for their lack of transparency and high costs.
What has that to do with Blockchain?
Blockchain uses cryptography to ensure the security of transactions.
A central authority to manage and control transactions is NOT required. How amazing is that?! Because the technology allows for transparent and secure transactions that can’t be altered or deleted.
For example, the real estate industry could use blockchain to eliminate the need for intermediaries and reduce costs.
“Pah. That’s going to take yeeears, Karolyne!“
Well.. maybe not. Because it already happened months ago.
The technology challenges the traditional systems that have been in place for years.
And it should encourage us to question the status quo and think about new ways of doing things.
In the context of blockchain technology, questioning the status quo means challenging the need for middlemen and central authorities.
It means questioning the traditional ways of managing transactions and exploring new possibilities.
Without questioning the status quo, we can’t move forward and create something new.
Something meaningful.
Something valuable.
On our own terms.
That’s all I have for you today.
