💡Spotlight:
Why You Should Build an Audience & Create a Personal Brand

Alex Hormozi Sold a Company for $36 Million.

The most valuable thing you can build is an audience.

Alex Hormozi

But he thinks an audience is more valuable than a business.

Before the Internet, we had to sit with someone 1:1 to create a connection.

Now, developing connections has become scalable through content, like

  • Blog posts,

  • Videos, and

  • Newsletters.

Hormozi states that he would have to spend $2M on advertisements to get the same impressions by spending $70k on creating content.

The industry is changing. Ads can come across as needy.

Do you plan on making money next month?

Ok, go ahead and push ads.

But if you’re in here for the long run, build a brand online and create content.

What is a Personal Brand?

Definition: A personal brand is your story and how you present yourself.

It demonstrates your unique qualities and skills.

Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room.

Jeff Bezos

Even individuals need to develop a brand for themselves - Whatever your area of expertise; you can take steps to make people think of YOU when they think of your field.

Accelepoint Webzine

Personal Branding is about managing your name - even if you don’t own a business - in a world of misinformation, disinformation, and semi-permanent Google records.

Going on a date? Chances are that your “blind” date has Googled your name.

Going to a job interview?

Ditto.

Tim Ferris

It’s essential as it allows individuals to differentiate themselves from others and stand out in a competitive market.

It contains various aspects, like creating a solid online presence through

  • Websites,

  • Social media,

  • Blogs, and

Offline activities like networking and personal appearance.

Personal branding helps individuals establish credibility and build their reputation as experts in their field.

Additionally, personal branding enables you to attract opportunities.

It also helps build a loyal following of supporters and clients who resonate with your values and offerings.

As for me: More and more speaking opportunities have landed in my inbox since I started writing online.

Personal Branding Isn’t Limited to Those in the Public Sphere.

A strong identity gives people confidence in what You do.

It’s why we reach for brand-name products at the supermarket — we know what we’re getting.

No surprises.

The product’s value and selling points are proven and well-known.

Your own personal brand should be just as recognizable.

 🍗 Food For Thought

Do You celebrate your wins and milestones?

Here’s your friendly reminder to do so.

I created a Wins & Milestones Whats-App Group with my husband a while ago. It’s pinned on the top of my app, and we share and document every win, like

  • Crossing 2k Followers on LinkedIn,

  • Receiving positive feedback from a client, and

  • Finishing a marathon after months of being glued to the desk (great job, hun!)

We work so hard to achieve specific points in our lives.

But when we finally get there, we keep going without further notice or appreciation.

Let’s normalize celebrating wins.

Yep. Celebrating a Win, IRL.
